WYMA® is currently selling Pneumatic Drills in bulk across two series: the 1/2 Inch Air Drill series and the 3/8 Inch Air Drill series. They are differentiated by rotation speed, with high-speed models offering faster drilling speeds and lower-speed models providing greater drilling force. Each drill comes with a chuck key and a 1/4-inch air inlet connector. Three air inlet connector specifications are available: NPT, BSP, and GB. Please confirm your specific requirement with our sales representative. Our air drills tackle the materials that you handle, including sheet metal, stone, ceramic tiles, plastics, and hardwoods.

Our air drills are compatible with: twist drill bits, tile drill bits, impact drill bits, air screwdriver bits, socket connecting rods, and whetstone grinding heads. To install or replace a drill bit, first use the included chuck key to loosen the screw inside the clamping sleeve's small hole. Then, rotate the clamping sleeve counter-clockwise to loosen it, allowing you to remove the drill bit you no longer intend to use from the chuck. To install, place the drill bit you intend to use into the chuck, then rotate the clamping sleeve clockwise to tighten it. Finally, use the included chuck key to tighten the screw inside the clamping sleeve's small hole. This completes the entire process of replacing or installing the drill bit.

What exactly breaks the drill bits when you drill into metal sheets and tiles? Many assume that excessive force or a poor quality drill bits causes the failure. In reality, continuous drilling with an air drill without cooling can cause the drill bit to overheat and be damaged due to the high hardness of the metal and the heat generated by friction between them. How do you prevent this? We must practice intermittent drilling, which gives the drill bits time to cool. Do other materials demand this approach? Softer materials lack the extreme hardness that produces such dangerous friction, creating a situation where you only need to intermittent drill when facing those specific tough metals and tiles.
It's a "strongman" in mechanical transmission structures, named for its resemblance to the solar system (planetary orbiting a star). This mechanism provides the vital foundation that every low-speed air drill requires. Four specific parts form the assembly, starting with a central Sun Gear which connects directly to the pneumatic motor input shaft. Three or four Planet Gears then revolve around this Sun Gear. As they spin, a Carrier secures their position and drives the power output. Finally, an outermost Ring Gear encloses the entire set of moving components.
Our low-speed air drill uses this mechanical structure internally, offering numerous advantages. This mechanical structure transforms the high-speed rotation of pneumatic motor which often reaches tens of thousands of RPMs into a slower but much larger output by proportionally amplifying the torque. If the air drill lacked this conversion, the drill bit would stop rotating the moment it touched a hard surface. Because the input and output shafts align on a single straight line—a feature known as coaxial output—we can produce both straight and pistol-type drills that respect the natural ergonomics of the human hand. Durability also increases since the system distributes the heavy torque load across multiple Planet Gears, which prevents the breakage common in ordinary gear configurations.
The main parameters of the air drill are Chuck Size and Free Speed. Chuck Size represents the max diameter that the drill bit shank can be clamped at the front end of the air drill. This is the most direct indicator of the air drill's size and class, reflecting the upper limit of its drilling capability. Common sizes are 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch. Free Speed represents the max number of revolutions RPM of the spindle when the drill is idling under rated working air pressure. It reflects the air drill's processing efficiency and applicable materials. High-speed models are suitable for drilling soft materials such as wood, plastic, and aluminum alloys, and are also suitable for drilling small holes. For low-speed models, a built-in planetary gear set provides low speed and high torque, making it ideal for drilling large holes or high-hardness metals like stainless steel and cast iron.
Our Air Drill and all pneumatic tools are MD-CE certified in the EU, ensuring safety, reliability, and durability, product quality is guaranteed. All models shown on our website are in stock, with ample replacement parts including chucks, vanes, multi-standard air plugs and pneumatic tool lubricanting oil. We currently support light customization options: color and packaging customization. For more in-depth customization options, please consult our professional service team.
